The Cripple Tan Dun Dry Fly imitates the “cripple” mayfly, that is the dun struggling to free itself from the shuck during the hatch: a slow and vulnerable prey that fish readily select. Hand-tied in Italy, it is offered in sets of 3 flies.
The tan colouring and the broken-up profile faithfully reproduce the struggling insect on the water’s surface, the moment when trout and grayling lower their guard. The dressing ensures a low, realistic lie. Available in hook sizes from #12 to #16.
